MANUAL MILLING

Manual Milling is a machining process that uses a rotating cutter on a work piece to remove material at an angle. Here at Amseph Contractors Limited, we provide high-quality Manual Milling Services throughout Trinidad and Tobago as well as the Caribbean, to companies in various industry sectors. Whether it is a big or small job, we can help!

Manual Milling is where machining a flat, curved or unusual surface by putting a piece of equipment against a rotating cutter, with cutting edges. The motor-driven spindle mounts and revolves the milling cutter, and a reciprocating adjustable worktable, which mounts and feeds the work piece. The process of Manual Machining can carry out a variety of different operations from small parts to heavy-duty milling. There’s a range of various tools that can be used within this process to create precision parts.

What is Manual Milling?
‘Milling’ is a cutting process used in the engineering industry. A cutter rotates to remove material from a work piece, and there are multiple cutting points on the cutter. Manual Milling creates a vertical upright cutting movement. Cutting occurs on the perimeter of the cutter, and when the cutting starts, the edge known as teeth cut repeatedly creating shavings off the work piece.

The whole milling process is to remove material with separate tiny cuts. The spinning cutter operates at high speed making the process quick, but the speed depends on which material is being used. There are many different types of cutters for various processes for example; end mills have cutting surfaces across them, some cutters can have extended cutting surfaces on their sides.

Benefits of Manual Milling
Manual Milling allows us to serve businesses of all sizes without spending too much time programming modern machines or passing the expenses that come with using modern machinery. With Manual Machining, the turn-around time is shorter. With our experienced operators, we are able to get both large and small jobs done to detail in a short time and with better precision. Our goal is to help businesses both small and large meet demands and expectations of their clients and we find that the most affordable, result oriented and most precise way to do this is by Manual Milling. We are able to work on parts from scratch as well as make adjustments in a short amount of time.

MANUAL TURNING

Our Manual Turning Service here at Amseph Contractors Limited is available for everyone. It is a form of machining that removes material; it’s used to create rotating parts by getting rid of unwanted material. Precision Turning requires a turning machine, workpiece, fixture and a cutting tool. The materials used for this process can vary from Titanium, Aluminum, Steel, Bronze, Brass and Plastics. Our highly experienced Precision
Engineers can give Manual Turning Services to industries and individuals from small to large amounts. Our skilled machinists have experience in working with various materials from Steels, Titanium, Aluminum, Bronze and Plastics to Exotic Provisions such as Inconel and Beryllium.

What is Manual Turning?
Manual Turning is the process in which a cutting tool shapes a workpiece while it moves. It needs a constant operator to supervise the lathe. A Lathe is a machine used to form workpieces while being rotated.  There are three main Lathes: An Engine Lathe which can complete most machining jobs, the Turret Lathe and Special Purpose Lathes which are both used for mass production or specialist parts. Different turning processes produce different shapes and effects on materials.

Capabilities of Turning
Various parts can be manufactured, modified, repaired and adjusted to fit our customers need & request. With our experience and the right equipment to make this possible we offer a service based on excellent customer relations, timely turnarounds for all jobs and zero tolerance for error in the delivery of the final finished product for our customers. We complete all turning services within tolerances and scope requested by customers. Some
processes that can be executed on a lathe are as follows : Turning, Knurling, Grooving, Taper cutting, Threading (Internal & External), Facing, Boring, Drilling, Offset cutting, all used for completing various jobs and tasks required for getting the job done.
